Girtz Reunion – General Info/Schedule

 

Hello Descendents of Jake and Rose Girtz,

WaHoo! The 2012 Girtz Family Verwandt Schaft is happening soon! August 3,4,5 to be exact. This update contains A LOT of information. Go grab a cup of coffee, a cold beer, or a beverage of your choice and READ and COMPLETE your registration ASAP!

We have tried to include as much information as possible in this update.  You will also be able to register online as well if you choose to HERE.

Everyone who gets their registration completed online or mailed back by June 15th will get their name entered in a drawing for $50 VISA cards. (2 – $50 prizes will be given away) Again the dates for the reunion are August 3,4,5 with a few activities being held on Thursday August 2nd.

GOING GREEN! Please help us take care of our environment! Please bring your reusable cups, mugs, or glasses (remember the cup you bought at the last reunion?). We will have recycling containers available also.

Calling all Blue Shirts high school age and older!  Are u ready for Survivor Girtz style?  Don’t be sitting on the sidelines watching be the first team to win this new tradition!  Use the space provided on the registration form to sign up if you are interested that way we can be ready for a great competition!  Watch the website and Facebook for more details!

Meal Assignments

Families have been assigned to help with a meal according to White Shirts (see below). Families can bring hot dishes, salads, and desserts.  Refrigeration will be available.  Dishes will be marked to indicate the meal they will be used for.  Families assigned are asked to help set-up and clean up after their assigned meal.

NEW POTLUCK OPTION!  We understand that some people love to bring food for a potluck and some people would rather not.  This time you have the opportunity to “opt out” of bringing food for your assigned meal by making a financial contribution of $15.00.  If you would rather not worry about bringing food, simply check the box on the registration form, make your donation, and the food committee will handle the rest.  Happy Eating!
